Management Team

Our Managing Director Adrian has dedicated over 15 years to the construction industry across multiple industry sectors. A highly respected industry professional, Adrian’s effective and transparent leadership approach ensures a positive working relationship with all of ACON Projects stakeholders.

An advocate for positive work culture, teamwork, and work-life balance, Adrian’s personal attributes has a flow on effect throughout the company, as well as all those in which ACON Projects have professional dealings with such as fellow industry professionals, subcontractors and clients.

Adrian’s extensive knowledge and experience within the industry, specifically around building costs, building programming, general buildability and construction detailing, enables Adrian to explicitly value engineer each project during the pre-construction phase of a project. Adrian’s knowledge and experience in these fields, is highly effective during the pre-construction or early contractor involvement phase, whereby project objectives such as cost, are strategically managed.

A highly systems focused individual, Adrian undertakes a hands-on approach when implementing ACON Projects project specific internal management systems. These internal management systems are implemented across all projects, and monitored throughout the building process, to ensure all project KPI’s are being met.

Aidan Calgaro assumes the role of Construction Manager within our team. Like Adrian, Aidan’s career has spanned over 15 years within the industry, across a vast portfolio of projects, in various sectors.

Aidan is responsible for leading the team in an operational capacity, on a day-to-day to basis. Known internally as the “Quasher”, Aidan’s solutions-based approach, and highly effective communication skills, makes him an extremely effective manager. With an eye for detail, Aidan’s true passion is derived from quality of workmanship and delivering a quality product. Having run his own construction company for more than 10 years, Aidan teamed up with ACON Projects and long-time friend Adrian, in early 2021, to fulfil a long-time desire in working together.

Having progressed through the ranks on site, Aidan has spent the vast majority of his career on site. This, coupled with his background in project management makes Aidan highly versatile. To fellow industry professionals such as architects, engineers and subcontractors, and especially clients, Aidan more often than not serves as a “go-to” for advice, whereby his explicit knowledge of construction detailing, as well as his advice, is highly sought.
